Full Job Description:

This is a small custom cabinet shop that values teamwork, precision, and reliability.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Construct and assemble cabinet components, ensure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client

• Verify and double check all calculations to ensure alignment of doors, hinges and side panels, always using design plans for reference

• Be exact in measurements and markings so that materials will be used efficiently and the projects will meet budgetary restrictions

• Install the appropriate hardware, including hinges and drawer guides

• Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

• Work with shop Forman to ensure that all necessary tools, equipment, material, and labor are available to keep the job running smoothly

• Shop safety is priority clean up cutoffs, disposal of garbage, stock storage lock up

• Must provide own hand tools, tool bags

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

• Understanding of proper installation and adjustment of cabinet hardware including hinges, guides, and other components

• Knowledge of materials and processing

• Attention to detail

• Understanding of required mathematics

• Understanding of cabinet styles including full overlay and flush inset

• Router, chop saw, table saw, hand tools

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Three or more years of cabinetmaking experience

• Proficient in English (Spanish a plus)

 

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

• Clean DMV Record
